Business Development Manager for a leading photovoltaic factory engineering firm



As  a  specialist  for  the  photovoltaic  industry,  the  internationally  structured  vogt  group  SE combines  -  together with  its  subsidiaries  -  established  knowledge  about  the  planning  and realization of photovoltaic production  facilities and solar power plants. vogt group’s portfolio includes  expert  service  and  consulting,  engineering  design,  project  development  and realization,  construction  and  project management  (EPC,  EPCM,  Turnkey),  operations  and maintenance support as well as solutions for retrofits, upgrades and expansions. For Cleaner Production  projects  we  offer  concepts  for  process  optimization,  energy  and  building efficiency, recycling (water, waste water, gases) and treatment of contaminated exhausts. 


Business Development 
In  order  to  further  develop  our  Sales  organization  and  presence  within  the  Chinese  PV market, we are looking for a Sales professional to strengthen our Commercial team.
You will have experience managing Customer relationships up to Senior and Board levels, A highly motivated self-starter accustomed to matching the speed and dynamic environment of Start-ups, the business development manager is in charge of generating new accounts for leading engineering company in the solar photovoltaic sector planning and optimization services.
We are looking for an outgoing and knowledgeable candidate, who can bring and establish a relevant network in the solar industry and develop business activities.


• Identify sales and project opportunities and develop relationships quickly with key decision makers
• Generate quotations in dose collaboration with the management and technical operation team 
• Respond to customer inquiries, questions and problems and coordinate support with the teams
• Manage our partner relationships
• Gather and report on market and competitive data
• Maintain accurate records of customer communication
• Travel to customer sites, technical conferences and trade shows 


University degree and professional experience (min. 5 years)  


• Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills
• A strong desire to be part of a rapidly growing business
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where prompt customer response is critical
• Ability to run multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; team player attitude
• Excellent intercultural communication skills
• Fluent knowledge of German and/or English and Chinese 


The position reports to the CEO. The position is to be based in Shanghai.
