M.I.A wants her baby to learn Mandarin Chinese

Rapper M.I.A. has revealed that she wants her one-year-old son Ikhyd to learn Chinese

“I'm gonna send him off to China. I want him to learn Chinese, because the next hundred years is about China being a superpower and he should know how to speak it,” the performer said.
“I had to spend ages on stupid s***, like getting to know about racism on a really street level, growing up in the projects,” the 34 year-old told Complex magazine. “I think he’s gonna have it in a different way.”
Ikhyd’s father is Benjamin Bronfman, the son of Warner Music Group CEO Edgar Bronfman Jr.
M.I.A, real name Mathangi 'Maya' Arulpragasam, also joked: “I’ve made it clear to Ben that Ikhyd will be working in a sweatshop at age four.”
