China Travel Service Hong Kong Ltd (CTS) offers China Visa application to Mainland China under simple, speedy and reliable procedures. Visitors with valid passports or travel documents are welcomed to apply for China Visa via CTS for various purposes such as traveling, visiting relative or business. A. Visa Categories

  1. L visa (for tourism)
  2. L visa (for visiting relative)
  3. F visa for business and visit 
  4. X visa for studying in China
  5. Z visa for employment in China

B. Basic requirements for visa application

  1. Valid passport (at least six months before expiration) with at least two blank visa pages left and under good condition.
  2. Completed Chinese visa application Form A  and  Form B, one colored passport photo taken in the last six months. 
    Note: Applicant MUST sign at the right-bottom corner on each page of Form A and Form B.
  3. Under the condition that the applicant is in Hong Kong, he/she may submit the application in person or entrust some agencies (agents) to do so.
  4. Foreigners with Hong Kong resident status should provide personal Hong Kong Identify Card and a copy of the said ID card, besides the passports and other required documents.

C. Visa categories and the requirements of supporting documents

  1. L visa (for tourism)
    Under some circumstances, the applicants may be required to provide financial proof, a copy of Chinese hotel booking and return flight ticket. 
    Note: for applicants who are going to Tibet, an entry permit issued by Tibetan Tourist Bureau is required.
  2. L visa (for visiting relative)
    Proof of kinship is required, but the applicants who were born in China (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) as shown in the passport are exempt from this proof.
  3. F visa for business and visit
    (I) Visa Notification Form, or a letter issued by the company he/she is employed and the registration license of this company, or an invitation letter from the mainland company ant the registration license of this company. 
    (II) Under some circumstances, the applicants may be required to provide financial proof, a copy of Chinese hotel booking and return flight ticket booking.
  4. X visa for studying in China
    To apply for "X" visa, you shall provide with JW202 form issued by the Ministry of Education of the PRC, the enrollment notice from the receiving school, and the health certificate.
  5. Z visa for employment in China
    Visa notice form from an authorized department and Employment Certificate for Foreigners (Working Permit) from the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of the PRC shall be provided; 
    Foreign experts, scholars, teachers or managers to be working in Mainland China shall provide visa notice form from an authorized department and the certificate or the confirmation letter for foreign experts from the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of PRC; 
    Foreigners to be engaged in commercial art performance in China shall provide the temporary commercial art performance permit from the Ministry of Culture of the PRC and the visa notice form from the Ministry of Culture of the PRC or from the Office of Foreign Affairs of provincial people's government concerned; 
    Chief representative of the permanent office of foreign enterprise in China shall provide visa notice form from an authorized department and the registration certificate from the local administration for industry and commerce. 
    Note: Foreigners employed in China is required to provide Health Certificate issued by local public hospitals in China.

D. Multi-entries Visa

  1. Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card holders can apply for multi-entries Visa, which valid for 1 to 3 years, requirements are as follows: 
    (I) Passport with at least one old China Visa which valid for 6-month or above is required; 
    (II) Original and copy of Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card are required; 
    (III) When applying the “F” visa for business and visit (1) business card of the applicant; (2) details of the inviting company (Company name, address, and the telephone number) are required.
  2. Non-Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card holders can apply for multi-entries Visa, which valid for 6 months, requirements are as follows:

  3. (I) Passport with at least one old China Visa is required; 
    (II) A copy of Hong Kong Identity Card is required; 
    (III) Working Visa in Hong Kong valid for 7-month or above is required; 
    (IV) When applying the “F” visa for business and visit which valid for six months, passport with at least one old China Visa and a business card of the applicant showing detailed company name, address and telephone are required.

E. Domestic helpers in Hong Kong apply for visa for tourism 

Domestic helpers in Hong Kong apply for a one-entry or two-entry visa for tourism, requirements are as follows:

  1. A copy of employer’s identity card and domestic helper’s identity card, employment contract, and the domestic helper’s passport with period of staying limit in Hong Kong no less than 7-month;
  2. A guarantee letter from the employer is required. The letter should have the employer’s consent of the domestic helper’s application for a visa for tourism, observance of the law in China, state clearly the date and destination travelling together with the domestic helper, and the letter is signed by the employer with the same signature as the employment contract;
  3. A guarantee letter from the domestic helper is required. The letter should include the purpose of visiting China is for tourism, the applicant should observe the law in China and not join in any business against the law. The letter should also state clearly the date and destination travelling together with the employer, and it is signed by the domestic helper with the same signature as the employment contract;
  4. The duration of stay shall be considered by the immigration office in accordance with actual conditions. In normal circumstances, a visa will be issued which is valid for one-entry in three months or two-entry in six months, the duration of stay no more than 30-day each time. Please note that in particular circumstances, a visa which is valid for one-entry in one month or two-entry in three months will be issued, and the duration of stay is between 7-15 days each time;
  5. Application of visa for multi-entries in six months is applicable to above requirements, the duration of stay no more than 15-day each time.

Reminder: the letter from the employer and the letter from the domestic helper should be hand written or typed by computer, and signed by the applicants.

F. Overseas Chinese apply for visa for relative-visiting in China

  1. Senior citizens (60 years old or above) and children (under 18 years old) can apply for a relative-visiting visa which valid no more than 180-day. The duration of stay shall be considered by the immigration office in accordance with actual conditions.
  2. Other applicants can apply for a relative-visiting visa which valid no more than 90-day. The duration of stay shall be considered by the immigration office in accordance with actual conditions.
  3. Applicants are required to provide his or her Chinese name, Chinese name of his or her relatives in mainland China, their relationship, Chinese address and contact number(s) of his or her relatives in mainland China.
